| The White Fronted Goose, also known as the Greater white Fronted Goose, is a member of the Anser genus which consists largely of Grey plumage. | |||||||

Bewick's Swan | |||||||
| Individuals can be recognised by their unique black and yellow bill pattern, adults and yearlings new to Slimbridge are named and their bill pattern recorded. | |||||||

European Greater Scaup | |||||||
| The name Scaup comes from 'Skalp' which means mussel bed which reflects its diet. They are known to consume 2 to 3 times their own body weight in Zebra Mussels per day. | |||||||

| The Emperor Goose can be found in Alaska and Russia where it breeds mainly around the Bering Sea. | |||||||
